Meet Stephanie

I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature, something I attribute to my Costa Rican roots. I’ve been drawn to animals and insects for as long as I can remember, and spending time in nature has always felt grounding to me.

The Dreamy Phoenix grew from my fascination with transformation, rebirth, and finding beauty in unexpected places. The name was inspired by my Scorpio rising and Pisces moon, reflecting a duality that naturally finds its way into my work: elegance and edge, softness and grunge. These influences come together in my work with responsibly sourced insects and vintage-inspired displays.

Outside of The Dreamy Phoenix, I enjoy hiking, 90s fashion and music, and exploring different creative mediums. I have a longtime love of jewelry making, sewing, costume design, and upcycling clothing, and I hope to explore more creative concepts in the future.

I never imagined having a small business of my own. I have a full-time career that I love, but creating The Dreamy Phoenix somehow felt meant to be. I believe there is something deeply human about creating simply because we have something inside us that wants to be expressed. At its heart, it’s about honoring nature and the creatures that inspire my work, paying tribute to their beauty while giving them a lasting place to be appreciated. I hope each piece brings a little magic into someone’s world.
